Vernazza booking

I'll be staying in Vernazza for a night and am trying to nail down a place to stay. I'm having difficulty finding anything on the internet. Any suggestions?

All places in Vernazza are small and many don't have a website, just an e-mail and/or phone number. Rick's guidebook lists several good options, and I'm sure other Italy guidebooks do too. Either buy a guidebook or thumb through a couple at a bookstore or library. If you're looking for specific suggestions, I stayed at Memo Rooms last year and it was very nice. You must call Enrica at 0187-812-360 or 338-285-2385 to reserve.

I used this booking service for my trip last month. I wanted a 2 bedroom apartment, since it was cheaper than 2 double rooms. In 2003, I was unhappy with how my "reservation" with Guiliano Basso went. At that time, he was one of the few places who would reserve. However, I never met the man and we certainly were not housed in his place. Instead when I called him at the train station, he sent someone down who led us to a completely different area of town and a different room. This might have been fine if he had been honest with us, but we felt we received "lesser" accommodations than what was listed in The Rick Steve's guide. This time with a casa 5 terre, I was 100% satisfied. We got the apartment we booked, it looked just like the pictures on the web site, and everything went smoothly. Because we were 2 couples who wanted to stay close together, we wanted to have our reservations nailed down.

We stayed with Giuliano Basso just a few weeks ago. Our reservation was on-line from his web site. It was easy, communication fine, we were sent pictures and it was a beautiful place. It was one of our favorite places on our month long trip. We talked with Giuliano for long periods of time and found him to be really fun and interesting. His little daughter and wife made our trip special, too. The room was super clean, very, very nice and a beautiful view. We enjoyed staying out of the center of town and spent 5 days there....great!! Couldn't recommend a better place! Also #1 on trip advisor- (I think)
