Any recommendations on places to stay in Vernazza-Cinque Terre? Has anyone stayed where they had an air conditioner on Vernazza? Thanks for your input.

Throw yourself in to the culture of Europe, and realize that most everyone there has no air conditioning, and they all make it just fine. Now, I say that because I wanted the same thing every time we have been there. Most places in Vernazza will not need air if you do your homework. Do not get a rooftop room, it will be hot until the sun goes down. We stayed in Franca-maria rooms # 1, and # 2. Both were side by side, and only 7 steps from the harbour. Very nice and cool by night, and very comfortable. you will not be in the room by day, so think about the evening only. I am envious! we were last there in Oct of 09, and can't wait to get back! enjoy, Ciao! Jeff
