Has anyone had any experience with 'Cinque Terra Riviera'? I'm looking at hiring an apartment from them for a few days in Sept. and haven't been able to find any reviews on them. I normally would try to rent directly with owners but, have had trouble finding an available apt., at a price we can afford, in Vernazza for the time that we want to be there for a family of four.
donna, I'm not familiar with "Cinque Terre Riviera", so can't offer any comments. You might have a look at the various accommodations at http://savevernazza.com/visiting-vernazza/ as you may find something there. Given the short time until September, you may have trouble finding accommodations anywhere in the C.T. If you can't find anything in Vernazza, you may want to look at the other towns. Monterosso would be a good place to start as that's the largest town and therefore has the greatest number of lodgings. Their website is at http://www.rebuildmonterosso.com/p/visitors-information.html (I believe it's reasonably up-to-date). One other possibility would be to try Levanto, as it's only about five minutes by train from Monterosso. You could download the E-book version of the Italy Guidebook as it has lodgings listed for each of the towns (although the 2014 edition will be released soon). Good luck!
I would stay in Monterosso. More choices.
Thanks for your suggestions. I've booked with 'Cinque Terra Rivera' and hopefully all will work out ok.
Try booking apartments via AirBnB. I have booked 90% of my accommodation through them for my Italian adventure in 2 weeks. Lots of reviews and photos and map so you can make an informed decision. Some owners will even come pick you up from the train station..that is a plus if travelling solo..or have 1 piece of luggage too many :)
