Staying for 3 nights for the first time next Sept. Any suggestions re where to stay would be greatly appreciated.
Any good eating places also.

try Francamaria rooms, google it if you need to. Ask for room 1 or 2. 7 steps to the room, a window looking onto the square, and a very reasonable cozy room. Jeff

Try Monica Lercari's rooms. We stayed in the Blue Room and while it was small it had everything we needed. Monica owns Al Castello restaurant and she couldnt be more gracious..

We stayed there in April but I can't remember the name of hotel but it is north/east of the train station and it's right next to a creek. It's also close to a great place to have an espresso in the morning. It's run by two Sicilian brohters. Check out Rick's sleeping section in his Italy 2010 book and you should find the place I'm talking about.
