I am thinking this is the most idilic village on lake como. Where should we stay?

Hotel Villa Cipressi was great! We had a beautiful view of the lake, the people were accommodating and friendly. It's easy walking distance to the rest of the village. Be sure to spell "Varenna" correctly when you are researching, in order to obtain accurate information.

We enjoyed our stay at 'Albergo Milano'. The staff is friendly & helpful.
The price includes a delicious breakfast served on the hotel's terrace with amazing views of the lake.

Another vote for staying at Hotel Cipressi. The restaurant at Hotel Montecodeno has great food.
