has anyone used venice link or know anything about them.
It seems like a new company and a new option for booking and I am considering booking through them.
It appears to be run by the folks at Alilaguna. They run the transfer boat from the airport to Venice as well as some tours.
so it should be ok to book with then I assume....
Are there any updates on reviews on venice link? Their prices were much better than other private water taxis and we were thinking of using them in November. Trip Advisor had one review that said they weren't up and running well yet but haven't seen any others. Thank you for any info.
Sandra - In theory, the motoscafi (water taxis) are regulated so no matter which one you get for regular runs the pprice should be about the same. By booking online you seem to be getting from a 5-10% discount.
right now it seems that a run from the airport to either the Lido or central Venice should be about 105 euros. go farther and it will be a bit more, like maybe 120 euros to the Molino Stuckey. that's for the whole boat, usually 8 or so people with luggage.
Like any where with lots of tourists using transport services, you may find people that will try to get more out of you.
I sure hope they are up and running as I booked through them for next week.
bluedenim: Here's the unfavorable review on them referred to above by Sandra.
The link takes you to the original post on tripadvisor and below the OP you'll see comments from two of tripadvisir's Venice Destination Experts:
ok phew we never booked the shared water taxi. We booked the regular public one through them.
We just wanted to have as much as possible pre paid to save expenses at the time.
