Has anyone used Venice Connected (www.veniceconnected.com) to buy passes in advance? They offer quite an attractive discount: The E33 vaporetto pass is E28.05,and the E18 Museum Pass is E16. They issue a "PNR" code which you present on arrival to pick up your passes. I am curious as to anyone's experience before I buy. Thanks!

Have been to Venice twice and used the Venice pass. I purchased it online -was given a pnr code and picked up my passes in Venice (once at the airport and once at Piazzale Roma.) Didn't buy the museum pass, just the vaporetto pass. Also, don't bother with the bathroom pass.

we also purchased the vaporetto pass. It was worth it. The museum pass was not worth the hassle for the savings.

We used it for the vaporetto pass and it was worth it to us. Easy to trade in the PNR for the passes and we rode the vaporrettos enough that for the ease of use, it was definitely worth it.

Re: bathroom pass - used it only one time - never had an issue finding a bathroom either in cafes or museums. Just found the bathroom pass a waste of money.

Must reply to this one. Be very sure you give them the correct date. We did not, putting March instead of April 10. (ie. a 10/3/2010 instead of 10/4/2010. We realized our mistake and immediately sent email back to them. We did wind up telling our Visa card carrier to deduct the charge after trying to call them three times and sending emails 5 times.

We are still dealing with them because they said they responded to our request by email on April 6th, exactly two and a half months after our first request. We did not get that email as we were in Italy at the time but they insist we owe them the money for the tickets.

Yes, they are cheaper as we payed 50Euros each for our tickets in Venice for a week instead of 35 each. It is not like an airline ticket that they could have sold to someone else, so we believe we do not owe the money for the tickets. We will post here if we get a response in our favor

So just don't make a mistake.
