Not sure what the route looks like, have tried to see on google maps but not much joy. Can anyone help please? Departing this coming Thursday, so excited
The single-ride ticket on the vaporetto is now 7E. Consider purchasing a 12, 24, 36, 48 or 72-hour vaporetto pass. You should be able to buy these passes at the ticket booth at the Piazzale Roma. Or, if you were staying at the Hotel Papadopoli, you could walk about 600' or so to your hotel.
Laura, No need to walk...check out this site http://livingveniceblog.com/venice-instructions/venice-transportation-options/peoplemover-tram-marittima-port-piazzale-roma/
Have a wonderful trip.
Laura, From the cruise ship terminal it is a very short walk to the people mover that will take you to P. Roma. Then a short walk to Vap. stop. The people mover cost (in May) 1 Euro and the ticket machine will take Euro coins or bills up to 5 Euro. Check out veniceforvisitor.com for more info and video on people mover. Try going to bing.com and doing a search. It has excellent overhead and birds eye views of the whole area. TC
