Has anyone purchased the Venice Pass? Was it worth the almost 2x price of the vaporetto pass? Are the free/discounted museums/churches worth the price? Do the vaparetto passes get you into the bathrooms?
Thanks,
Dan & Barb

It depends on how long you intend to be in Venice and what you wish to see. We really liked the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Cathedral. We didn't do the clock tower. One of the best museums in Venice is the Peggy Guggenheim and that's not listed on the pass. I also don't see the "secret itineraries" tour on the pass either.
As I recall, none of these sites are really expensive to get in. The Doge's Palace is about 17Euro to get in. The secret itineraries tour is extra. It's 10Euro to get into the Guggenheim and about the same for the Accadamia.
The passes don't work for me. Perhaps others can express their opinion. No, the vaporetto passes do not get you into the toilets (if you can find any). The best places for toilets are the large grand hotels. Outside of restaurants and the major sites, public toilets are a bit hard to find.
