I will be visiting Venice for the first time in October and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get a schedule for the Vaparetto. I have looked at their website and the link is broken. (The link I tried using is listed below) Do the TI office's have vaparetto schedules? http://www.actv.it/en/movinginvenice/waterbusservicestimetable Any tips would be appreciated. Thank You,
Michelle
I've been to Venice so many times I can't even remember and I never cared about the vaporetti's timetable. The main lines along the Grand Canal are line 1 and 2 (more stops-fewer stops). The first one runs every 10 min., the 2nd runs every 10 minutes, but staggered 5 min. from the first, so that basically every 5 min. you have one or the other. To Murano is less frequent, but not that much.

This link works. You simply select your start and end locations (i.e., Accademia and Murano Colonna) in the boxes on the upper left, then enter a time (HH:MM) you'd like to arrive. Hit search tehn scroll down to see the options. Click on an option to see it reflected in the map.
That is the last thing I would worry about. It is runs frequently - every 10 or 15 minutes. Like a city bus.
Trust me. You don't need a schedule. I have only been to Venice 5x but never felt I needed a schedule. Like Roberto said they come often. Just figure out what direction you want to go, wait for next vaporetto and hop on. Just be sure you have a ticket or pass--Seems like everytime we have been there we see someone getting fined--50 Euro.
I think a schedule is most helpful if you want to leave Venice proper and go to the islands. Or if you are P.za San Marco and need to be at the Station by a certain time. They do run on a schedule!
