Venice: Travel to airport help

I am staying in an apartment right by the Rialto bridge and have been trying to do a bit of research on the best way to to get to the airport for our flight home. It seems like the cheapest way is to just take the bus but I wasn't sure of the exact steps to take in order to get to the bus station, pay for the tickets, etc. We have a flight that leaves at 11 AM. Does anyone have any experience with getting to the airport by bus from the Rialto bridge in Venice. It looks like I would have to take the water bus to the bus station and then hop on e bus to the airport? Or would taking the water bus make the most sense?

ALSO - we have a few more meals left and would love recommendations if anyone has any! We seem to keep missing the aperitivo/apertif - when we order a drink thinking we may get small appetizers like the rest of these restaurant we never seem to get them. Is this something you have to ask for or certain time or certain drinks they serve the food with?

We took the water bus then the bus to the airport. Just bought tickets then. Didn't have any problems.

You are in superb shape with an 11:00am flight. Most times, travelers posting on this website are stressing out on how to get to the airport for a 6:45am flight. From the Rialto stop, you can take the Alilaguna Arancio Line boat right to the airport. www.alilaguna.it You will probably want the 8:03 or the 8:33 boat. 15Euro for the ticket. Or, as an alternative, just take the No 1 or No 2 vaporetto (water bus) from the Rialto bridge stop to the Piazzale Roma stop. That's one stop past the train station. If the boat destination says Lido, you're going the wrong way. At the Piazzale Roma, there are two bus lines that can take you to the airport (ACTV and ATVO). 7Euro for the ride. Either bus line is just fine. It should be about 30 minutes on the vaporetto and about 25 minutes on the bus.

Help! I am trying to get to the Venice airport for a 6:45 am flight for my June 6th departure. My current hotel I booked is in the San Marco area. It seems my only options are to move to an airport hotel the night before or pay an outrageous "after hours" fee to pre-book the transfer now before I leave for Venice. Any other ideas?
