We are going to Venice for 6 days what is the best pass to buy? Museums and vaporitos.

This is the one we used in 2017. https://www.veneziaunica.it/en It's a bit challenging to go through all the options, but it worked well. The main benefit we got out of it was the vaporetto pass, but we also found a few small but interesting museums that we never would have bothered with if it wasn't for the pass.

We were in Venice for 4 days last August. I spent a long time looking at museum passes. In the end, I did not buy any. Some things we wanted to see were not included and we had only so much time. We ended up buying a three day vaporetto pass and doing museums a la carte. There is also a week vaporetto pass.

I would suggest figuring out what you want to do and comparing it to the various pass options.

I would get the 7-day vaporetto pass for 60 EUR. A single ride ticket costs 7.50 EUR, so you are bound to get your money's worth after 8 rides. Another factor is how are you arriving in Venice? If by air, you can add on an airport bus transfer for 6 EUR each way when you buy the pass. That will get you to/from the airport and the vaporetto dock at Piazzale Roma. That is normally 8 EUR for a single ride.

We were in Venice for a week in 2018. We bought the Museum Pass & 7 day Vaporetto Pass. We thought both were worthwhile for us. When we arrived we checked into our hotel & walked to the Correr Museum to purchase our Museum Pass. We enjoyed walking “off the beaten path” and used the recommended Frommer’s 24 walks in Venice. https://www.venice-museum.com/venice-museum-pass.php

I have rather enjoyed the Chorus Pass.

It allows entrance into many Venice churches, with some of the best in-situ art.

I'm short of time at the moment to search, but finding independent online webpages isn't straightforward. It may have been put into the VeneziaUnica group.

Anyway, fabulous churches and fabulous art.

There is a somewhat contradictory wikipedia page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chorus_Association

I'm very big on walking, but I intend to get the vaporetto pass when I'm in Venice in September. In fact, I'll probably get two of them, because I'll be there for nine days. I have things I want to see on many of the islands (including the Lido) and was able to come up with about 12 necessary trips just to and from the islands. There will almost certainly be a few more trips needed within central Venice. With the pass I'll be able to take multiple sightseeing trips down the Grand Canal if I want to.

The Chorus Pass (for a bunch of churches, though not the most famous ones) is very inexpensive, so I plan to get it as well. I'll be able to stop in at any of those churches when I'm in the area. If I don't use it fully, I'll be happy to have contributed to the maintenance costs of the churches.

I'm not convinced any other pass is right for me, but it could well be different for you. You really need to put together a list of the places you simply must see (and are sure you'll have time for--consider that you may spend some time waiting in lines at sights and at vaporetto docks) and their costs. Compare the total cost of the ones covered by any pass you're considering to the cost of the pass itself. Be careful about validity periods. Be sure everything you want to do at a sight is covered by the pass before you calculate your potential savings; sometimes passes don't cover extras that you may consider essential.
