Quick question, but one that the websites haven't answered...
Does anyone know if the 7-day Venice travel card is good for 7 calendar days? Or is it good for 168 hours? It makes a difference, given a 7-day rental!

168 hours from the time you first validate it at a machine just before entering the Vaparetto wharf. You must validate it before every boarding (in fact every time before you enter the wharf to board).

Thanks! That's a big help. We arrive in the afternoon, leave in the morning...so 168 hours should cover it.

I love that pass! Great for taking an evening "cruise" down the Canal, or for just hopping on (after validating) when you get tired of walking all the little bridges.

As a side-note, it appears that the cost of an individual vaporetto tickets will rise by € .50 effective July 1st. More information on this TA thread.

Another reminder that it is much harder to be pickpocketed if you properly use a money belt.
