I am driving from Tuscany to Venice and can only drop my rental car at Mestre Viale Stazione (Santa Lucia drop was full). What transportation is available to get me from Mestre to Venice/Zattere stop?

Every train going into the Santa Lucia station will stop at Metre first. Buy a 1E ticket on a Regionale coming through or a bit more for a high-speed. 11 minutes later you're in Santa Lucia. Go out front and take the 5.1 Vaporetto going to your right. 16 minutes later, you will be at Zattere.
