Hi....What is the best way to get from Venice Airport to hotel Rialto?
Where is your hotel?
which hotel?
sorry hotel Rialto
hey hey bridget
best way is private water taxi (motoscafivenezia.it)
aloha
From the airport, take the ATV bus # 5 (or a regular land taxi) to Piazzale Roma, and then the vaporetto # 1 from there to the Rialto stop which is the first stop on the left after the bridge. It is then a very short walk to the hotel.
You can get a vap. pass for the number of days you'll be there before the tour, and can also add a one way bus ticket. I think you can still do it on line from home, print out a voucher, and turn the voucher in for the pass at the airport. Just make sure to validate the vap. pass every time you take it or the bus to P. Roma.
Very easy to do. But as princess pupule said, the best way is a private or shared water taxi. But that will be much more expensive.
As is usually the case in Venice, your hotel's website provides directions: https://www.rialtohotel.com/hotels-venice-grand-canal/. The hotel is located extremely near the Rialto vaporetto stop. There's no bridge to cross there if you arrive by water. To take a vaporetto, you'd need to take a bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma, where you'd transfer to a vaporetto. Other alternatives are the Alilaguna, which would also deliver you to a dock very near your hotel (but which may not be any faster at all) and a very costly water taxi.
Individual vaporetto tickets are very costly at 9.50 euros each, so it's worth thinking about how many vaporetto trips you may take and considering purchase of a vaporetto pass. Pass prices are as follows:
24 hours: 25 euros
48 hours: 35 euros
72 hours: 45 euros
168 hours (1 week); 65 euros
