Venice Transport from Train Station and Airport

Hi - we are family of 4 with 4 suit cases/carryon . Weneed some advice on best way to travel the following routes:

1) Venezia Santa Lucia station arrival 2pm. Need to go to Rialto Bridge. Is there a land option available or is it best to just take the Vaporetta line with single tickets.

2) Our exit is from the apartment hotel which did say they can arrange for a private taxi but haven’t discussed cost yet. We are by Rialto Bridge and have a 12pm flight from Marco Polo, what is best option to get to the airport and what time should we leave. This is an international flight and we also need to do get some VAT refund done.

Thanks

1 -Take the vaporetto but consider purchasing a length of stay pass
Single tickets are expensive! And you’ll likely use the vaporetto other times while there
Be sure to validate your tickets each and every time before boarding

2- vaporetto then bus is another option
Private water taxi should be about 130-140 euros
See what your hotel offers but you can always book it yourself

Here us the official water taxi site
https://www.motoscafivenezia.com/en/

If you give us exact address of your hotel we can be more specific

I’d be at airport by 8 am since you have VAT to take care of

Thank you

I’m not too worried about train station to Rialto but the hotel to airport is what has me concerned

What option would you recommend?

Whats circulating in my mind are these private taxis reliable on time or if its better to just to Rialto at 7:45am and the alliguana

We have 4 carry ons and one suitcase

If your budget allows take the water taxi
It’s a very cool way to arrive or depart from Venice
The captain will handle your bags
They are reliable

A 7:45 Alilaguna won’t get you to VCE by 8 am

This is an international flight...

As in a flight to an airport in another European city - Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, etc? For an intra-Schengen flight, being at the airport two hours in advance should be sufficient, plus time for the VAT refund.

If back to the States, then three hours.

Thank you - the flight is to London.

I think I will go with the private taxi - what's intimidating is booking directly and their reliability but I may use the hotel to provide info to fill out on the website with direct book. I do know they are on the main canal and have drop off/on location.
