My husband cannot walk far, and I am wondering if a private or shared
water taxi would be the easiest way to get from the cruise port to our hotel in Venice- and then to the airport 3 days later. Any suggestions?

Where is your hotel? If you don't have a firm reservation on a hotel, you might look into the Hotel Papadopoli. It's about 500' from the Piazzale Roma. One small canal bridge between the piazza and the hotel. Across the Piazzale Roma, you have the people mover out to the ships. At the Piazzale Roma, you have the buses that go to the airport.
