My husband and I will spend 3 nights in Venice in May. Already have hotel. Wondering if anyone has recommendations for a city tour guide and any restaurants. Thanks.
Restaurant Ai Mercanti in San Marco is pretty special; we have dined there four or five times, and the food is brilliant, modern Italian. Don’t expect Spag Bol there.
La Bitta, Calle Lunga San Barnaba, Dorsoduro is good. Small, you do have to book. I had leg of goose there, excellent.
The bar Al Archivo just in front of the Frari is a lunchtime favourite, You can perch on the stools outside and watch the world go by.
There are a heap of places in Campo Margherita that are lively and fun.
Hello there! I am so happy I saw your question as I do have a fabulous guide suggestion. She is actually one of Rick’s and if you can get her she is fabulous. We used her for a half day tour in Venice this past September and it really was my favorite day. If you end up contacting her please tell her Mike & Kirsten from Fl say Ciao!
