Venice to the airport

If I buy a vaporetto pass, and its still valid when I leave, will it (the pass) get me to the airport at no additional cost or is that a separate ticket? Thank you.

Char, two different companies (ACTV and ATVO) have airport bus departures from the Piazzale Roma (1st buses at 4:40am and 5:00am respectively). Depending on where you are in Venice, you can take the ACTV vaporetto to the Piazzale Roma. Fare is about 7Euro Secondly, the Alilaguna boat (www.alilaguna.it) has boats from limited stops in Venice to the airport. Fare is 14Euro.

I had heard the difference between the public aliguana (sure I didn't spell it right) and the private boats or shared ones is that there is an hour ride vs 35 minutes or so. Is that right? Has anyone here taken the public one to the airport?

I took the Alilaguna from the Airport but not to the airport. To get to/from San Marco it takes about 45 minutes because they stop at Murano and The Lido. I think it's €25 RT or €15 oneway.

It's true that the Alilaguna ride to the airport from San Marco takes about 1hr20min. Says so on their website. It does stop at Lido and Murano among other stops.
