We need to pick up a rental car in the city center of Venice on a Saturday. What would be the best location? We are driving to Tuscany for a week and then on to Rome the following Saturday (so a week in Tuscany). My thought is to take the coastal route from Tuscany (near Siena) toward Rome and drop the car at Fiumicino before heading into Rome. The other option is to do a combination of train/car rentals but there are four of us and it seems silly to pay for train tickets on top of the rental. Would appreciate any insights/thoughts. Thanks!
