Keep the two days or more for Siena. Rome needs more time.

If you want to see all or most of the mosaics in Ravenna I’d give it 2 nights
That’s only 1 full day

At what point and how would you reach Montepulciano re time one would stay on this itinerary?

Montepulciano
If you are renting a car as you leave Florence go to Montepulciano for at least one night
Then return car in Siena

There is no good way to get to Montepulcuano other than by car

Bus is better from Siena to Rome
Otherwise you take train back to Florence

Or you could move Siena up
Rent car as you leave Siena-visit Montepulcuano and ValD’orcia for a night or 2 and drop the car in Chiusi then train to Rome or drive all the way to Rome

Many thanks for the replies.

Does anyone have an idea where to pick up a slow train to Florence via Brisighella and Marradi?

Where would i find information regarding this?

Thanks
