Help! I was planning to take the rail from Venice to La Spezia in the morning on June 4th to get me to La Spezia early afternoon. But, for some reason, I don't show any trains that leave in the morning. They only start in the afternoon. Any rail/train experts out there? I'm using this website: http://www.raileurope.com/european-trains/le-frecce/how-to-book.html
Thanks so much!
Elizabeth, you are looking out beyond June 8. Trenitalia will be refreshing their schedules and timetables on June 9. They do this every 6 months. They are notoriously tardy with the reloads. This simply baffles everybody when all of the other rail sites can keep their timetables loaded for months in advance. Simply look at a date much closer in. In fact, I suggest 3-4 days from now. Also put in an early time. I like 4:00am. You'll see all of the runs as well as the fares for any Regionale train parts of the runs. The runs won't change much once the new timetables are up.
I find lots of trains that morning.
For the umpteenth time. DO NOT USE RAILEUROPE! They are a travel agency and they do not show all the trains. www.trenitalia.com gives all the trains schedules. That is the Italian National Railway.
