Best way to get from Venice to Cinque Terre? Itenerary includes 2 days in Vienna then a flight to Venice. After Venice we will have 7 days to take in Cinque Terre, Florence, and the Tuscan hill country, then on to Rome. Trying to figure out moving logistics for all the moves from Venice til we get to Rome.
By train. But it's a longish trip no matter how you slice it.

Enter from: VENEZIA SANTA LUCIA
To: MONTEROSSO (or any other village of the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre)
As well, the CT is NOT a day trip from Venice.
Cinque Terre is 8+ hours door to door from Venice.
If you have 7 days I wouldn't waste 1 of them entirely on travel. Florence and Tuscany countryside in 7 days seems about right. I would swap out time on Lake Garda or something similar with a fraction of the travel time if you really want 3 destinations in 7 days.
I would rethink how ambitious you want to be to fully use the time you have. Especially in rural Tuscany slowing down to get a feel for the slower pace of life is part of the experience.
My $.02, have a great trip,

I agree with the previous reply..... with only seven days to work with, I'm not sure you have enough time to visit Cinque Terre, Florence and the Tuscan hill country. Travel from Venice to the Cinque Terre will take the better part of a full day, so you wouldn't have much time to enough have a look at the five towns.
Although it would still only provide a quick and somewhat truncated glimpse, you could (for example).....
- Day 1 - Travel from Venice to Florence. Reserve six nights in a hotel
- Day 2 - Explore the sites in Florence that you're most interested in seeing. Reservations for the popular places would be highly advisable.
- Day 3 - Day trip to Siena. Travel by bus would give you a good glimpse of the Tuscan scenery. The bus will drop you in the main part of the city. The bus station in Florence is close to Firenze Santa Maria Novella, the main rail station. Return in the early evening.
- Day 4 - Continue sightseeng in Florence.
- Day 5 - Day trip to the Cinque Terre. Leave early as it's going to be a long day. You might consider starting in Riomaggiore, perhaps walking the Via del Amore (reservations may be required) to Manarola and then use the local train to get to the other towns. End your trip with a fine meal in Monterosso before returning to Florence.
- Day 6 - Day trip to Lucca (about an hour by bus, slightly longer by train).
- Day 7 - High speed train to Rome.
Of course there are lots of possibilities, and this is only one suggestion.
