Just wondering if anyone has travelled from Venice to Bled Slovakia..how did you get there and if you took the train how long did it take and the cost
I assume you mean Bled, Slovenia, right?
The easiest way to get there is to take a Slovenian transfer service called GoOpti - you can do a shared transfer which will take a little longer, but otherwise it should be door to door service.
You could take the bus from Venice to Ljubljana (or a train connecting in Trieste, takes an hour or two longer), then a bus on from Ljubljana to Bled.
You can take the train to Bled, but the two stations in Bled offer different issues of convenience. The Lesce Bled train station is a few km away from the town of Bled (too far to walk at least with bags), so you'd either need to take a taxi from there or a bus on to the town. The sleepy little Bled Jezero train station is technically a shorter walk from the town, but it is across the lake from the town and up a hill - not really practical if you have luggage. To take a train from Venice to Bled is technically possible but would require at least two connections - the bus is more direct (one connection in Ljubljana probably). Taking GoOpti would probably take 3-4 hours and be direct and maybe not cost that much for a shared transfer, booked in advance.
