I'm going to be in Venice on Saturday and I'd like to find a place to watch the Giro di Lombardia. It's one of the most important bicycle races in Italy and I'm sure many will be watching. Anyone have a suggestion for a bar or restaurant popular for sporting events?

There's a couple English and Irish pubs that might show it if you ask them nicely and if soccer/football/calcio is not on. You've got the Devil's Forest close to the Rialto Bridge (look for the Disney Store, the pub is in the alley to the right), the Inishark and the Irish Pub (formerly the Fiddler's Elbow). The Irish Pub is my preferred pub in Venice, it's convenient and the pints are cheaper than the Devil's Forest (who have started charging an ungodly EIGHT euros per pint). Just google Irish Pub Venice and their website will come up.

There are a bunch of pubs/sports bars right off of St Marks square, on the street marked by the green arrow: http://g.co/maps/ckejg There are chalk boards at the entrances listing what's going to be televised.
