What is the best way to book tickets for Venice sights? We are going to be there in mid April. We would like to see St Marks, Doge’s Palace and Correr Museum. I have looked on visitmuve.it, but it is rather confusing with all the combos. Also thoughts on timed entry. Tours that include all three seem rather expensive and very limited on times and space. Is there anything else that should be booked ahead here?
Is there some reason you wouldn't go to the individual websites and book directly? I think
the special tours for Doges Palace are the ones that book up quickly, so best to get on that
more or less right away. If I remember correctly, you want to be in St Mark's in the morning
when the lights are on, so you can see all the mosaics lit up.
What kinds of concerns on timed entry do you have? If the tickets are timed entry, then
that's what you have to deal with. I would not risk playing it loose with trying to seeing a
sight when you've traveled so far to get there.

I've often seen a line at the Guggenheim, so I'd get that ticket a bit ahead of time if I wanted to go there. (Expect it to be pretty crowded; it is popular). I haven't had an issue at the Accademia.
St. Mark's will have a line for sure. It's really smart to book an entry time online. I don't know when they go on sale, but I think you'll probably need to buy that entry pretty quickly once it's available if you don't want to stand in the ticket-buying line. In fairness, that line moves faster than you'd think, but it still took me 30 minutes to get into the church back in September 2022.
Something could have changed, but as far as I know, there isn't a combo ticket covering St. Mark's as well as the Doge's Palace and the Correr.
