What is the best method of getting from San Marco Square area to airport?

From San Basilio, take either the No 2 or No 5.1 boat to San Marco/San Zaccaria, which is just a little east of Piazza San Marco. Cost is 7.50 EUR per person
My best method to the airport would be the No 1 boat to Piazzale Rome, then the No 5 bus to the airport. Cost is 14 EUR for a unified boat/bus ticket. The well healed may take a water taxi for 120 EUR, but split between 4 or 5 people, may be worth it.

Just to clarify a typo in Sam’s reply.
It is the No 5 bus, not boat, from P. Roma to the airport.
Pretty sure that is what Sam meant anyway.
