Venice: Resturant with the very very large wine glasses

I was told of a wine bar or resturant in Venice that serves wine in extermely large glasses. Could someone help me out with the name of the establishment?

Thank you

I know the one you are speaking of. It's a great little wine bar run by a lively Frenchman who is a sweetheart. He left his bar unattended to quickly walk my cousin and I back to our hotel when we became lost after leaving his bar. Venice is a directionally-challenged person's nightmare! His establishment was a super fond memory, and he even gave us a bottle of his own organic wine upon leaving.

I will check my photo album and give you the name later tonight.

Dennell and Kent

Thank you for your respective replies.

To clarify, this place has wine glasses that are extremely over sized. To better allow air to mix with the wine. Wish the website allowed pictures or diagrams.

Anyway thank you and anyone else reading for your help.

Cheers,

Jeff

I think I saw that restaurant in a Samantha Brown travel episode. Sorry I can't remember the name of the place.

"Wish the website allowed pictures..."

At least you can give
a link to a photo.

Or you can embed it if you know the html tags...

(I have no idea where the photo above was made, or even if it's real. I just found it on the Internet to illustrate that you CAN display photos on this page.)

The one I am thinking of is called:
Enoiteca Mascareta Wine Bar
Calle Lunga S. Maria Formosa, 5183
30122 Venezia - Tel. 041 5230744
Mauro Lorenzon is the owner and is such a character, you are bound to have a good time, and very good wine.

Let me point out that the photo of the huge wine glass above is just a photo I found on the Internet to illustrate that you CAN display photos in posts here.

I have no idea where the place with that glass is, or even if it's real.

Very good, Frank II! Yes, compare, in this photo from their website, the size of a standard wine bottle to those glasses!

hi patrick
i know the glass was just a picture. just lmao cuz me and my friend diane will need a glass that big to drink all the wine and prosecco or even spritz while in venice, since the wine is cheaper than the water!!!
just saying thanks for the picture.
