Venice restaurants

Hi everyone,
We're going to Venice in a couple of days for 5 days and staying in the dorsudoro area.
Does anyone have any suggestions for good and/or inexpensive restaurants in the city
In any area?
Thanks!

The bar Ai Artisti in Campo San Barnaba is a favourite. Friendly staff, good coffee, nice to sit outside in the Campo of an afternoon.

The resteraunt La Bitta in Calle Lunga San Barnaba is good. They don't do fish. You'd need to book, and they have two sittings of an evening, 7:00 and 9:00 I think.

The Casin de Nobile in Campo San Barnaba is OK, pretty basic food. Check the bill when it comes - I think the last time we ate there, there was a "mistake".

Impronta cafe gets my vote. You can tripadvisor it for details. While not cheap, it definitely is not expensive (moderate $) and the quality is very good. I wish I ate here a second time, because our other choices weren't as good. There really are not any cheap eats in Venice. Dorsoduro is a good area though for food. Just don't eat on San Marco square! If you must, go to Correr museum cafe for basic sandwich and salad. That way, you can sit in AC inside with a nice window view of square and access clean, nice restrooms. Silvio's is a good place for cheap wine/beer and pizza. You sit outside in a garden type area. Food is just okay, but it's cheap and nice place to sit. It's a fair value. Friendly service. You can ask hotel desk clerk as well for recommendations.
