Any recommendations for places to eat dinner while in Venice? can be really nice (jacket) or t-shirt and jeans type of atmosphere.
La Zucca...Make a reservation....always gets booked up.

Muro...three different locations...good food...hip...not too hip that 50 something feels outta place.

Antiche Carampane....my favorite restaurant in Venice...more expensive but worth every penny. Prefer it over Da Fiori....and not as expensive.

Avorgaria....a little out of the way...but worth the walk.

Pronta Cafe....just steps from Tonolo. Great for a nice light lunch and a good glass of wine....great mojitos. Make sure you save room for a treat from Tonolo.
There is also a great internet point across the calle.
No jacket/ties necessary.....but bring an appetite!!
Rosa Rossa....I found it jsut walking home one night from Campa San Sstefano. It was so busy I decided to try the next night...same problem next night so I went an hour earlier and got a seat . It was worth the 3 day wait because it was great food, great house wine and great service.
Bailey,
Thanks great suggestions la lazucca sounds great, the wife loves veggies!
Second the comments about La Zucca, it is indeed wonderful.
Also try:
Pizzeria Al Profeta on Lunga San Barnaba west of Campo San Barnaba in Dorsoduro. Did not try the pizza (which looked wonderful) but the gnocchi and grilled meats were wonderful. Vsry casual atmosphere.
For great ciccheti, try Cantinone del Gia Schiavi near the Accademia, and Alla Verdova in Cannaregio not far from the Rialto Bridge.
