VENICE Pub Crawl??

Anyone who's on the 2018 Europe in 14 Days Tour interested in the Venice Pub Crawl? We were thinking about doing this on the second night there. We talked with the company Rick recommended, Alessandro, and so far, no one except us had inquired. It sounds like fun...2-3 pubs and small plates.

You might get more responses if you post this in the “Rick Steves Tours” section of the forum and include your dates.

Also, Alessandro’s tour is a very fun evening. Hope you get to do it.

I've been on Alessandro's cichetti (pub) crawl twice, and it's a blast! The cichetti are good; the wine is even better, and Alessandro's stories and tales of Venice and life in Italy are fantastic. When Good Friend and I signed up for the tour - which we wanted to take in late Dec. 2017 - there weren't enough people to make a group, and Alessandro emailed that he would let us know if he got enough people. Lo and behold, 3 nights before the tour, I got an email saying it's on, and on the night of the tour there were some 14 people along for the adventure. Seems that a lot of folks wait until the last minute (or last week) before inquiring and booking. I'd certainly "pencil in" your requested date/s and keep that night/s open in your Venice calendar. It may well be that you'll hear good news from Alessandro a week or two - or even just several days - before your tour evening.

We do that tour in June 2017. We met some nice people and drank lots of wine and had some interesting food. It was raining and it made it even more special. Contact him early so you won’t miss out.

This is a great tour, although more “wine” than food. We had 6 people when we went in June, so we didn’t have problems in filling the tour. Everyone else who joined was part of the Rick Steves tour in Venice at the time and many signed up late. I would give Alessandro your email so that he can contact you as the tour fills up. He is a delightful man, knows Venice, and if you go, you will have a memorable time. My college-aged girls on the trip are still talking about Alessandro.
