Venice Private Water Taxis

We go to Venice at the end of May and arrive at Marco Polo airport and want to travel to our hotel in the Cannaregio area, set back a few streets from front (Fondamenta Nuove). We want to hire a private water taxi directly to our hotel and I was wondering if anyone could advise if it's best to prebook or just arrange when arriving at the airport? I've seen a hire company online that I can prebook for 100 euros for a single journey. Is this good or is it cheaper to book on arrival? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

You're close. Rates seem to run from 90E to 110E. So booking in advance may not be advantageous. Check with your hotel. Sometimes they can get special rates. Usually, these rates are to the airport but you can still check. Also, perhaps you can share the taxi with someone else. It holds up to 8 passengers and the fare is for the taxi. As a side note, the Fondamente Nove stop is the second stop on the Alilaguna Blu line run from the airport. You might have to walk in a few streets but it's only 14E.
