Five of us are traveling to Venice around Thanksgiving. Can we catch a private water taxi at the airport to transport us to our hotel upon arrival or do we need to make reservations in advance? If so, can anyone estimate costs?

You might get a small reduction by booking ahead, but it is pretty much a set price. Here is a site to book, plus get how much it costs. It will be north of 100 EUR.

There is also a desk in the airport where you can book and pay before taking the moving walkway to the dock.
