Venice pre-paid transportation cards and Venice Card

I'm trying to pre-purchase my transportation cards for Venice. We'll be there 5 days, so it actually looks like it will be cheaper and simpler to just buy a 7-day ACTV pass through Venice connected for € 37.50 (normally 50) per person rather than buying separate 3-day and 2-day passes. I'm looking at the fares at: veniceconnected However, I read somewhere that the Venice Card covered ACTV transportation, so I went looking at: hellovenezia I can't find any mention of transportation coverage or discounts for the Venice Card and I don't see anything about it in the RS Italy 2011 guide either. As far as I can tell the Venice Card is just one of the variations of the museum card. We are planning on taking the Alilaguna Water Bus from the Macro Polo airport to the Rialto bridge stop. Venice connected is showing the Alilaguna Airport-City Centre one-way Ticket is only € 12 (normally 15). That should be the Orange line. Going to Murano, Burano, Torcello should be covered by the pass and I'm hoping that we can just flash the pass whenever we want to use a vaporetto rather than having to revalidate and/or show id. If someone can confirm that the Venice Card doesn't cover transportation and that my other transportation choices are on target that would be appreciated. It is my last thing to do other than train tickets that I can't pre-book.

Hi Kevin, IIRC, the Venice Card no longer exists and is replaced by the Venice Connected series of discounts. Book all your stuff through there and you'll be in good shape.
