Venice on Liberation Day/Feast of San Marco

I just realized my wife and I will arrive in Venice on 4/25, the Feast of San Marco as well as Italian Liberation Day. Does anyone know what type of closures should I expect? We hoped to make it to San Marco Basilica in the afternoon light, but I now wonder if it will be closed or have special services.

Any tips on seeing the gondola procession I read about? Other than buying my wife a rose, any other tips on Venice during this holiday/holy day? We were surprised during an earlier trip with the Easter crowds. I hadn't factored that in. Now it's yet another travel story!

Happy Travels,
Scott

Not much will be closed on 4/25.
The day when most things are closed is May 1, when Europeans celebrate Labor Day. That is the day when you should make alternative plans, since many venues (museums, etc.) are closed.
