Venice on All Saints Day (November 1)

Does anyone know if restaurants are open on this day?

Those managed by locals where locals eat may be closed, most of the others will be open to make money with italians enjoying the long week-end.

Venice "floating" district is a theme park, not a real city: when the rest of the country takes a day off, they keep the doors open.

Hey Dario.
Now the OP is going to think that the centro storico of Venice is actually floating, and maybe s/he need to take something against sea sickness.

Living in Italy I found many of these holidays to have minimal effect on closures, especially in tourist areas.

Don't let darioalb and Roberto discourage you. Venice is lovely and we have had many fine meals over our ten trips there. I have found it increasingly important to make reservations, though.
