Venice October-ticket suggestion

For anyone who has been to Venice in October is it recommended to get tickets for Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basillica? Or any of the other typical suggested visits we would do? Thanks

I've been there early October and it was still crowded so yes, get tickets to both Doge's Palace and St Mark's. I went to a couple of museums that are not as busy so I did not get timed entries for them.

DEFINITELY! For reference, I bought tickets to both sites in mid-August, 2023, for our visit in mid-October, 2023. Ditto for the Campanile. Those, however, were the only sites I pre-purchased tickets for in Venice.

Edited to add that the tickets I bought for the Doge's Palace were for the English Language Secret Itineraries Tour. They do need to be purchased in advance.

If you are asking about advance tickets then I would say yes for St. Marks for sure, but I have been into the Doges Palace twice ( once in Oct, once in May), and didn’t have a wait on either occasion. Once was later in the afternoon, we just walked up and bought tickets, and the other time I had a museum pass and could skip the line, but the line wasn’t very long even though it was midday. If you are just wondering if they are worth a visit then the answer is yes to both. Many people recommend the secret itineraries tour for Doge’s for which you will have to book in advance.

We were there this past October - def get tickets ahead of time as soon as they open. St. Mark's requires timed entry tickets. The lines for those who didn't have tickets were VERY LONG.
