My daughter and i will be attending an afternoon opera at La Fenice in mid October. We have seats up in the 2nd gallery.
What is ok to wear? Is black the only colour permitted or can you wear something with color?
Also, what about footwear? Would ballet flats be alright?
Don't worry. Wear the nicest stuff you got, but there are no "Opera Police" checking you out. Enjoy the experience.
You may not want to wear shorts, jeans, or hiking boots, but most anything you're planning to wear for dinner out should be fine.
