My husband and I are traveling to Venice in early March. We will stay for five nights.
We are planning to do two day trips to Bologna and Verona.
We like jazz, theatre, opera and other cultural experiences. I am looking for recommendations around Venetian night life.
Would appreciate your recommendations on night life in Venice, and anything else that is exciting and fun.
If you have other recommendations for day trips, I am all ears:)

Don’t miss the opera (or concert if you prefer). at La Fenice. We saw a modern production of “Carmen” there and it was excellent. You can see the calendars on their website:

For March, it looks like only Don Giovanni from 16-25 March. Before that, there are a few nights with concerts or recitals. And something for kids with “Nessun Dorma”
There are usually Vivaldi concerts going on all the time.
As for jazz the only thing I know of the live music at Paradiso Perduto, a seafood restaurant in Cannaregio. Here is a review:
