I'm traveling to Venice in June & unsure of what museums/churchs I need to rsvp. St. Marks, Doge's Palace, Accademia, Palazzo Moceingo Museum... any other suggestions would be great. Thanks for your help!!!

Use the baggage check that Rick Steve's book mentions for quick entrance to St. Mark's. As you stand in front of St. Mark's it is to the left down on of the calles - the book gives very clear directions. Just go the main entrance, show them your baggage claim, and go right in skipping the line. I visited both Accademia late (after 3pm on a Saturday) and got in quickly. For Doge's Palace, I got a combination ticket at the Corer Museum covering both and skipped the line as well. BTW I really enjoyed the Corer (perhaps even more than Accademia) since it had a history focus as well as art. I think these time-saving tips were all in Rick's book, which made it worth purchasing.

I did exactly what Thomas did and it woreked wonderfully. THe Correr Museum line was non existent while the Doges Palace line was huge. It was a great feeling to bypass that line up! I was amazed to see a few people reading Rick Steves Venice book while standing in that long line up though! I guss they didn't read that section!

If you want to do the Secret Itineraries Tour of the Doge's Palace, you do need to reserve that in advance.
