Venice Museum Pass

We'll be in Venice in a couple weeks and I was considering buying the museum pass only as it's 24 euro for over 65. We would like to for sure visit Doge's Palace and we will be going out to Murano and Burano and visiting the glass and lace museums. We possibly could do some other things as well.

My question is, if you purchase this pass, do you still need to make reservations at Doge's Palace? Is there a special entrance for pass holders or do you still have to wait in line?

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your help

There is a separate line if you already have a ticket. It is much quicker. We had our Venice Museum pass and were through security and into the Doge's Palace before the first person in the other line even finished buying their ticket (we were the first in line when it opened).
