I'd like some clarification on multi-day vaporetto tickets in Venice and what they cover. We'll be arriving on a flight from Switzerland in the afternoon in a few weeks and our plan is to buy a 3 day pass at the ACTV booth at the airport. Does the pass cover bus transport from the airport to Piazzale Roma as well as vaporettos or do I need to buy a separate ticket for the bus alone?
Here is the site where I bought my pass. There are several different passes described here. My friends bought theirs at the vaporetti stand outside the train station. I thought it was a great value and helped get into some of the museums for free. info on passes...
the ACTV pass does not cover the bus from the airport to Piazalle Rooma, but if you buy the bus ticket at the same time it is 4.00 euro instead of 6: http://www.actv.it/en/movinginvenice/movinginvenice
Hi Marcus, I hope you have a really enjoyable visit to the lovely city of Venezia. Both the sites in the previous have good info. You can get the base vaporetto only, or add in the Alilaguna or add in the bus, and you can obtain them at the airport at a kiosk. Gute Reise.
