I'll be in Venice this summer all day Monday and then Tues morning. I leaned toward doing our wandering around & a Row Venice stint Monday and St. Mark's/Doge's Palace on Tues before our train.
I'm seeing conflicting info though online that seems to suggest a lot of the shops may be closed Monday morning. Anyone been in the last few years that can weigh in on whether that's the case? If so, I'd flip our plans to save Tues for wandering.
Also any advice on the timing of Row Venice would be very appreciated? I was going to book it for 9 and then wondered if I should instead do it later when things on the streets are busier to not "waste" the early hours on when it's less crowded.
