I was looking to see if anybody from these boards would be there on the above dates ? I was looking for people because my wife and I are planning general tours in both cities and a Gondola ride in Venice and everywhere i've read tours and gondola rides are PER tour or gondola no matter how many or little people are there. Anyway were in our mid to late 30's FYI. We get along well with anybody and were just looking for other travelers at these times.

my sister our husbands will be in Venice afternoon of 16th and all day on the 17th Gondola do cost over $100 US. We're staying close to the Rialto Bridge
and would welcome another party to split the cost between 6 people in lieu of 4.

Wife and I are getting off Princess Cruise boat on the 14th. Have Hostel locked (may extend) for 14th and 15th. We are older (she 48, me 52) but fit, in fact we are traveling with backpacks.
We are flying back to US on the 19th, so may either stay in Venice or rail somewhere else, don;t know yet.
We are very adventuristic, enjoy doing things.
We would be happy to do a Gondola and a meal with you.

Christine, how wonderful! I will be in Rome on the 26th May for one week. Would have loved to be at St. Peter's.
