Any info about getting from one to the other will be appreciated. Thanks
Try the Alilaguna speedboat, much cheaper than the water taxi.
Sounds like you may need the Rick Steve's 2007 Guide to Italy.
Agreed the boat is cheaper. Also there is a bus that takes you from the airport to the bus terminal and you can get the vaporetto from there down the grand canal. Bus is 2 Euro I believe and the vaporetto 6 Euro for a single trip. If you are going to be in Venice a few days get a vaporetto ticket that covers your stay. It's so much cheaper and really convenient.
the Alilaguna speedboat costs 11 Euro.
If you take the water taxi, it will cost 90 euro, not the 80 it says in the 2007 Rick Steves book. We took it, just because we had been travelling forever and wanted something easy.
If you take the water taxi, make sure you have your camera out and available. We didn't, and he ended up going the length of the Grand Canal. Bummer.
We just returned from Italy and it is quite easy to get from the airport anywhere. You just walk with everyone else to the boat and take the local alilaguna boat into Venice.Make sure and ask at the boat where it is going . We got off at San Zaccaria, but I think it goes down the canal to the Rialto. I would not bother with a water taxi-- harder to get into and too much money.
