Has anyone just taken a land taxi from airport to cruise terminal?? What was the cost and availability? We arrive at 9:00 p.m. (21:00).

A land taxi costs about 40 euros per Rick's Italy book, and that convenience may be worthwhile when arriving late with your luggage. The cheap option is to take the airport bus to Piazzale Roma (6 euros per person) and then the 1-euro "People Mover" monorail to the cruise dock (open to 23:00 on weekdays but only to 21:00 on Sundays), then walk 5 minutes more to the Stazione Maritima.

Doug, there are also two bus lines that have express buses from the front of the airport terminal to the Piazzale Roma which is the same place where a taxi will take you. The bus lines are ACTV and ATVO. Fare is 7Euro. Both have buses departing twice and hour in the late evening. Last buses depart after midnight.
Where do you need to go after you get to the Piazzale Roma? Are you able to immediately board a ship?

Both options sound good. Likely will opt for taxi as we will have been travelling for 2 days by this point. We were considering arranging for a car transfer to pick us up but the taxi appears to be the same cost.
