It includes the Strada Nova, the main drag on the way to the Rialto Bridge from the train station with lots of shops, restaurants (including a MacDonalds)and a super market. We stayed in the area twice, its an easy walk to almost anywhere in Venice. We were able to get a good rate at the Hotel Giorgione once and the second time at the Hotel Ca'D'Oro.

I have been to Venice several times, our trip in the fall of 2006 we stayed at www.locandalevele.com it was near this area--actually pretty close to the McDonalds a previous post mentions. I think we were there for 5 days and for 2 of them we stayed at their hotel and the other 3 we stayed at their recenlty remodeled apartment that was just a few bridges away. I would stay here again.
