Venice Lodging for family of 4

I will be travelling with my husband and 2 college age daughters. Any suggestions for accommodations for 2 nights (Tuesday/Wednesday) in Venice? We do not need fancy - just safe and clean - hoping for $200/night tops. Is this even realistic? Thank you!

It may help to know when you are going - I could suggest an airbnb apt we stayed at least year, but she's already booked almost solid thru the end of Sept...

Good for you planning way ahead...when we went last year to Venice, my mom was with us so we needed a place with separate sleeping areas. I booked at the end of April for our mid-Sept stay. For a good spot, you'll prob have to book at least 4 months ahead.

This is what we used thru airbnb...

Nice quiet area. Small grocery and ATM in the campo. Couple restaurants handy (we enjoyed All Amarone Wine Bar). Little kitchen - the shower area was a tad small and I couldn't figure out the washing machine to save my life (but looking at the photos, they either got a new machine, or they are old photos with an old machine - the one we had was a top loading washer/spin dryer thing, not a front loading). Bedroom and a living room with a pull out sofa bed. Priced right...we paid $155 a night for 3 people with airbnb fee included...and that was in Canadian dollars...so even a better deal for Americans.

Less than 10 min to Rialto and only a minute from the vaporetto stop (the map at the bottom of the page shows it in the wrong spot for some reason - the Sant'Aponal church is right around the corner. If you use google street view and plop yourself by Sant'Aponal church, it is down the alley by the San Marco bank if memory serves...not on the other side of the Grand Canal/Rialto).

Our previous 3 visits to Venice we stayed at

They have an apartment there as well (those trips it was just me and hubby so we had a single room).

Pensione Guerrato (a RS recommended hotel) also has an apartment. Roberto is fantastic to deal with.

We stayed here May 2015 for 3 nights.

The Family apartment has 2 bedrooms and one bath with a full kitchen and is across the street from the Frari Church. Easy 10 minute walk from the train station. It should fit your budget as well.

Nicole P, does the Airbnb place have 2 separate bedrooms? In the photos I can't tell if it is the same bed with different bedding or two different rooms? Thxs!

In case Nicole doesn't see your question --- the description says it is a one-bedroom apartment. They show the bed with different coverlets ( red or white) in different photos. The other bed is a pull-out sofa bed, probably in the living room.

May be too small for you but is very reasonable.....one bedroom and a pull out couch apartment. Short walk from train station. Contact owner direct easynane@hotmail.com. We were very surprised and pleased
