Venice itinerary?

We have flights booked with arrival and departure from Venice in July for 10 days. We are 4 middle aged women who love wine, food, culture and beautiful scenery. We like to stay in spots for a few days so we aren’t always packing up. We are small town folks so big bustling cities aren’t high on our priority list. We don’t want heavy emphasis on churches and history. It’s more about a beautiful experience. Think of Eat, Pray, Love! . This is our first time in Italy so any advice on itinerary would be appreciated.

Treviso is another good day trip from Venice.

I will warn you that it can be quite hot in that area in July. That was the case during my visit to Treviso last year. I spoke to an employee at a small gelato shop, and she said her business was down because locals weren't going out--or maybe they had bailed and headed for the mountains. This is what happened to me: Treviso weather -- July 2024

I don't know how different Venice and the other recommended side trips would be. You can use that website to check, if you want to. Since weather can vary a lot from year to year, it's always smart to check several recent years.
