Venice Islands Day

We would like to depart Venice and go see Torcello, Murano, Burano and San Michelle all in one day, via vaporetto of course.
According to my research online it looks doable.
(and allowing some time for a leisurely lunch in there somewhere)
I'm not crazy am I??

thanks!

No, it is not crazy, but maybe a bit busy.
You need to allow time to walk round each island, have a rest, chill out, and have a nice meal somewhere. No rush.
I have done 2 islands in one day, but not 4.

If one day is all the time you can spare, you can certainly do it. I suggest you get an early start. I'm not sure San Michele needs much time. I usually visit for the church, but I find the cemetery kind of sad– It's still used for burials, I saw a fair amount of vandalism, and I also saw a really distressing combination of Italians visiting the tombs of loved ones and tourists behaving as though it was just tourist attraction.

You can visit all four islands in one day, get the vaporetto pass for your time in Venezia. I would start at the furthest point (Torcello) and work back toward Venezia. The most intetesting to me are Torcello and Burano.

We do this every trip. It can be a long day, but usually 09:00 to 16:00 for us including travel time.

I’ve visited 3 of the 4 islands in one day and it’s very doable. My preference is to depart from Fondamente Nove. I’d suggest going directly to Burano, side-tripping to Torcello based on the most convenient vaporetto times, and then stopping at Murano and San Michele on your way back. Check departure times when you arrive at each island to minimize wait time when you’re ready to leave for the next destination. Even if you don’t plan to buy a vaporetto pass for the rest of your stay, buying a one-day pass for the trip to the islands will save you money, plus it’s very convenient.

Reading further about the Venice Islands...

Has anyone visited Mazzorbo or San Francesco del Deserto?

Any firsthand experiences would be appreciated.
